I am very honored and blessed to receive this award. It's very honorable for me not only because I was one of the only African American students to receive this award, but I'm also glad that I pushed myself far beyond what I thought I could do and because I went past many limitations, I got this award.

 

I want to thank my boyfriend, my mother, my great-grandmother, my little sister, and my best friends for this award because of the large amount of encouragement I received from them. Without it, I wouldn't have received this award. Thank you!
